The Intersection of Activism and Entertainment

Strategy is beautiful.

We think. A lot. We motivate your audiences through creative content, and we take our role as muse very seriously—and playfully. That’s the ethos of Silver Muse Productions.

Silver Muse Productions is the culmination of more than two decades of work by Claudette Silver, who discovered her love of pop culture and activism in the late 1980s while a college student in Washington, D.C. (Thank you, 9:30 Club, Dischord Records, Positive Force, Food not Bombs, Public Enemy, Act Up, Amnesty International, etc.)

In her childhood, Claudette was obsessed with the comic Bloom County and credits the politically savvy strip with sparking her left-leaning values and demonstrating the power of entertainment to influence beliefs and actions.

Today, Silver Muse Productions is a creative campaign and event company uniquely positioned to connect groups doing good work to the people, places, and things that can help move the audience to action. We specialize in managing projects from concept to completion, though we can also run logistics for any campaign or event already on the books. We work on projects of all sizes and value the unique contributions of our clients.

I know there is strength in the differences between us. I know there is comfort where we overlap.

I appreciated the one-on-one attention with the presenters, the time to work on our story, the breakdown of the story building process, and addressing the need to question which audience the story is targeting.
